Apture Power

What is Apture?
It is an amazing site that is a multimedia source locator. It has the capability of making one's website, blog, or wikispaces go from being purely text to three dimensional pages that appeal to many different learning styles, particularly visual and audio learners.

How does it work? When a person comes upon the entry in your website, blog or wikispace, they just point and click on the highlighted word and presto - they will see additional information about the term.

I will be using it to highlight the the educational terms that we all frequently encounter in our emails, articles, books, and meetings.

The instructions are user-friendly. If I can get it, and believe me, I was pushed to learn it by the inventive, inquisitive, insightful, tech-savvy students at McKee to learn it, then anyone can use it.

By the way, it is - f-r-e-e. That's right - FREE.

Hi there,
This is Tristan, CEO and Co-Founder of Apture. I wanted to welcome you to the Apture family and say that it personally makes me very proud to see such a thoughtful and yet concise use of Apture on your site. I love the way you've linked the photos of the Tunnel to Towars parade to the video, and from the Wikipedia article about formative assessments to the videos of presentations explaining the method. It makes us feel great to see someone use Apture just as we imagined.

In addition, every time you link the Flickr photo of that Parade to the YouTube video of the event, you help another person in the Apture network tell the story of that event with the same emotional impact.

Thanks for using Apture to make the web and your education process a more interesting, thoughtful, and meaningful experience. And please keep in touch with us on the Apture blog, and on Twitter. We'd love to hear from you.
