A Googler, stopped by to talk to the Software Engineering Class at Ralph R. McKee CTE High School on Friday, May 30, 2014. Time to sport the Google shades.

The Googler spoke about the connection between coding, STEM, and post secondary institutions that lead to careers. An "ah-ha" moment was experienced by McKee students seeing and hearing someone who attended a local college now working at an international company.

College Fair at McKee - May 3, 2014

Penn State, Kingsborough Community College and representatives from 4 other post secondary institutions  displayed their brochures and relayed important information. Parents, guardians, caregivers and students from Saturday School had an opportunity to ask questions and take their first steps toward looking at college options.

You can always tell when someone else has taken the picture - magically there is light, shape, and sharpness to the image.  I'm getting better at using the photo app on the IPhone - at least it's not a picture of my finger.
The photo below was taken by the organizer of the Spring 2014 college fair, McKee's College Advisor and guidance counselor - Ms. Jennifer Miller Pecora.

The First "Decision Day" at McKee - 5.2.14

Check out the students at McKee participating in "Decision Day". The event was organized by Ms. Miller-Peccora (college advisor/guidance counselor) who was inspired by the words of First Lady Michelle Obama.

Here it is Seagull style:

Below are a few students who will be going to New York City Institute of Technology striking a pose.

Time to take a "selfie."
